Middle Mile Operations (Logistics)

Salary: $70,304–$100,000 annual salary plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Develop transportation strategies for drayage, FTL/LTL middle mile linehaul, and freight forwarding operations.
• Optimize port drayage, warehouse-to-warehouse routes, cargo consolidation, and final-mile coordination.
• Design route networks to improve load efficiency, reduce empty miles and container returns, and lower transportation costs.
• Lead TMS implementation and transportation digitization initiatives.
• Manage the company-owned fleet and external carrier network, including sourcing, onboarding, rate negotiations, RFP/RFQ processes, and performance scorecards.
• Monitor transportation KPIs, P&L performance, compliance, operational risks, client SLAs, claims, and corrective actions while collaborating with sales, warehouse, customs brokerage, and customer service teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive transportation or logistics operations experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, spoken and written, is required.
• Experience managing carrier relationships, rate negotiations, RFP/RFQ processes, financial or operating plans, and P&L oversight.
• Proficiency with TMS platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel, and data analysis or reporting tools.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.

Nice to have

• Dispatcher experience and port operations or container drayage experience at the LA/LB ports.
• Experience in e-commerce logistics, 3PL/4PL operations, or major retail and e-commerce accounts.
• Experience with TMS implementation, transportation digitization, DOT/FMCSA regulations, or transportation compliance.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
