What you will do

• Research, design, test, certify, and improve products and services across the product lifecycle.
• Define reliability design criteria from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and testing.
• Lead reliability and maintainability analyses, technical planning, system and decision analysis, and risk management.
• Own system-level development activities for new products and processes in multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor technical execution, support lifecycle management, and take on significant project responsibilities.
• Guide and mentor junior and less experienced engineers while coordinating cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; an advanced relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in reliability and maintainability engineering or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency with FMEAs/FMECAs, fault-tree analyses, reliability predictions, and reliability block diagrams.
• Knowledge of systems engineering, MBSE, systems design and integration, technical risk management, and verification and validation principles.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• Current or obtainable U.S. Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time operating systems, embedded systems, and systems engineering modeling tools such as DOORS, Jama, Cameo, or MATLAB.
• Experience with system safety, logistics engineering, FRBs, FRACAS, and root cause analyses.
• Experience in aerospace and defense and during the design and development phase of a program.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles, requirements management, and MBSE.
