Systems Engineering Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; onsite. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Support the design and verification of real-world space systems.
• Develop requirements and define interfaces across multidisciplinary systems.
• Perform system-level analysis and trade studies.
• Support integration planning and execute system-level tests.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, RF, and test engineering teams.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or software engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Targeting rising juniors or seniors with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Practical experience with space systems through coursework, internships, clubs, or research.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate with cross-functional groups.
• Ability to work onsite in Westminster, Colorado, and meet U.S. space technology export authorization requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with requirements flow-down, interface control, system budgets, or validation planning.
• Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo or SysML.
• Participation in CubeSat, rocketry, aerospace, or other student design teams.
• Exposure to hardware/software integration or system-level testing.
• Aerospace or defense industry experience.
