Engineering Technician I (Aerospace Manufacturing)

hirify.global provides engineering technician, trade, and technical support services for NASA's METTS III contract.

What you will do

• Assemble and install equipment or parts involving basic wiring, soldering, and connections.
• Perform routine tests, including tensile and hardness tests, and operate simple test equipment.
• Record test data and maintain engineering records, drawings, and related documentation.
• Perform calculations using specified formulas and plot data in simple curves and graphs.
• Support engineers, machinists, CNC programmers, and senior technicians in research, design, development, testing, and manufacturing process improvement.
• Drive a government vehicle when requested to collect parts and finished products from vendors.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Public Trust clearance required.
• Practical knowledge of science or engineering, mathematics, or computer science.
• Ability to bend, stoop, or lift occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in machine shops, laboratories, test environments, test stands, possible confined spaces, and noisy areas.
• Ability to work at heights and potentially operate equipment such as a forklift.
