Location: Onsite in Hawthorne, California, United States. The role requires support for critical mission milestones, including overtime or weekend work when needed. Applicants must be U.S. persons or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export-control regulations.
Salary: $86,000–$195,000 USD annually, calibrated by level and experience.

What you will do
- Support engine assembly operations with integration technicians and responsible engineers.
- Collaborate hands-on with design teams to transfer knowledge and improve manufacturability and assembly processes for the E-2 engine.
- Create and iterate engine assembly, disassembly, manufacturing, and work-instruction plans.
- Provide continuous engineering support on the shop floor, resolving blockers and nonconformances to keep operations moving.
- Perform hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of components in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Specify and procure dedicated manufacturing tools and equipment and implement productivity improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in aerospace.
- Hands-on hardware integration and testing experience.
- Experience working with technicians and running multi-person operations.
- Experience writing test plans, procedures, and presentations, and making go/no-go judgments with supporting rationale.
- Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
Nice to have
- Proficiency with CAD software such as Siemens NX for design reviews and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong GD&T skills and experience creating and reviewing drawings.
- Knowledge of fluid systems, tube manufacturing, welding, and assembly techniques.
- Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting fluid components.
