Senior Manager, Data Analytics (Retail)

Location: Purpose Building AR Bentonville Home Office, 703 Associate Dr, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

Walmart operates retail and eCommerce businesses, with this team supporting finance operations and driver earnings analytics.

What you will do

• Lead analytics and reporting across Driver Earnings, Disbursements, Finance Operations, Tax, Controls, and Compliance.
• Develop standardized Metrics That Matter reporting, KPI dashboards, and leadership-ready operational insights.
• Lead data quality, governance, metric standardization, and reporting automation initiatives.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
• Coordinate UAT for Spark Driver initiatives with business, product, and technology teams.
• Deliver ad hoc analysis for incidents, escalations, pilots, and strategic initiatives while mentoring analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience, master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of relevant experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Strong SQL, Python, BigQuery, and dashboarding skills using Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience with data quality, governance, KPI standardization, data storytelling, and leadership reporting.
• Ability to partner with Finance, Operations, Product, Engineering, Tax, Controls, Compliance, and Regulatory teams.
• Understanding of Walmart LMD Operations, Driver Earnings, Disbursements, or Finance Operations is valuable.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau assessments and related analytics tools.
• Master’s degree in a relevant analytical, business, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or information technology field.
• Experience in retail, merchandising, healthcare, eCommerce, or a related industry.
