Ops Supervisor Hauling (Waste Operations)

Location: Frederick, Maryland, USA

Salary: $86,400–$118,800 per year, depending on locality. Annual incentive plan target: 10%.

What you will do

• Supervise drivers, helpers, and collection activities across commercial, residential, roll-off, and container delivery operations.
• Lead safety and accident-prevention programs, remove unsafe route conditions, and maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Resolve customer service issues, missed pickups, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes.
• Set productivity goals, manage labor and disposal expenses, and improve route density and efficiency.
• Coordinate with sales, maintenance, operations leadership, and other stakeholders to maintain service and fleet quality.
• Build employee engagement, coach team members, and develop talent for advancement.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Ability to direct a large staff and build high-performance teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Process-oriented and results-oriented approach to achieving operational and budget goals.
• Collaborative, ethical, creative, and effective in working with teams.
