Electrical Engineer IV (Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Lead the electrical discipline for large and complex projects.
• Manage electrical design budgets, schedules, programming, and master planning.
• Design electrical systems for new construction, including medium- and low-voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding and bonding, and special systems.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, manufacturers, project managers, and other disciplines.
• Oversee quality assurance for electrical documents, calculations, and specifications.
• Support construction through RFIs, submittal reviews, punch lists, field surveys, and progress reporting.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting.
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
• Advanced knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments and electrical system design for new construction.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and intermediate knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to lead staff, coordinate across disciplines, prepare technical reports, and troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
