Electrical Engineer (Power Distribution)

What you will do

• Design and coordinate primary and secondary power distribution, emergency power, UPS, lighting, sustainable electrical systems, and technology systems.
• Perform power system studies, including time-current coordination, short-circuit studies, and arc-flash hazard analysis.
• Participate in design and coordination reviews with clients, vendors, engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support project design standards, best practices, technical reviews, construction drawings, and 3-D/BIM coordination models.
• Oversee assigned project work to maintain budget and schedule compliance.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with NEC, NFPA, International Building Code, and International Energy Code requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
• Working knowledge of electrical design software and 3-D modeling/BIM software.
• Experience or knowledge with AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM Powertools is preferred but not required at hire.
• LEED Accredited Professional credentials are preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel out of town or outside the United States from time to time.
