Program Manager, Strategic Project Development Transmission

Location: Westwood, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days per week in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Annual salary: $124,130–$137,920, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of strategic transmission and substation projects from early-stage development through handoff to the Project Management Organization.
• Lead cross-functional teams across system planning, engineering, siting, real estate, legal, regulatory, environmental, procurement, scheduling, and community engagement.
• Develop early-stage project strategies, schedules, budgets, policies, and implementation plans.
• Evaluate strategic solutions for alignment with safety, procurement, feasibility, permitting, construction, and planning requirements.
• Develop and track project and Massachusetts Electric Sector Modernization Plan metrics and progress.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions and represent transmission projects at committees, public meetings, regulatory hearings, and town halls.

Requirements

• At least five years of related experience and project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental studies, communications, renewable energy, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong computer, analytical, reporting, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary early-stage infrastructure development involving permitting, engineering, real estate, interconnection, finance, and community engagement.
• Understanding of onshore electric infrastructure development, such as solar or wind; knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and availability for emergency restoration assignments. Immigration-related visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience developing competitive infrastructure projects.
• Master’s degree, law degree, or other advanced qualification.
