Program Manager - Financial Performance

Location: Augusta, Maine, United States

Salary: $106,000–$132,500 annually, depending on experience and location

What you will do

• Analyze financial and operational performance against budgets and prior-year results to identify trends, variances, and key performance drivers.
• Prepare recurring performance reports and executive-level materials for internal stakeholders, management, and regulatory agencies.
• Support short-term forecasting, budget-to-actual monitoring, profitability analysis, and operational performance scenario evaluation.
• Manage storm accounting, recordkeeping, cost recovery timelines, and related compliance activities.
• Partner with business leaders, regulators, and storm response teams to assess operational and financial results.
• Lead Utility Finance process improvement initiatives and recommend actions to improve financial performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with financial analysis and modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
• Stakeholder relationship management skills and the ability to engage senior leaders.
• Ability to comply with regulatory, quality, safety, and sustainability requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of regulated utility business drivers, operational processes, and methodologies.
• Project management, change management, or process improvement management experience.
