Manager, Project Planning and Scheduling (Hybrid Schedule)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States. Hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays; availability to work up to five days in the office may be required. Travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire and emergency storm assignments are required.

Annual salary: $157,320–$174,800, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Lead planning and scheduling for complex electric transmission infrastructure projects throughout initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout.
• Oversee schedule analytics, critical paths, forecasts, progress curves, KPIs, variances, and project performance reporting.
• Manage schedule baselines, change control, cost loading, budget and commitment monitoring, and reporting templates.
• Identify scheduling risks and conflicts involving materials, task completion, outages, rights-of-way, and substations.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, operations, procurement, construction vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Assign work, perform quality checks, coach employees, and manage the development and performance of planners, schedulers, and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, accounting, finance, business, or an equivalent field.
• 10–12 years of related experience, including at least 5 years managing large, complex, multi-year projects.
• Understanding of project management and project scheduling theories and methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Primavera and Unifier Project Controls or comparable project management information systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under deadlines and manage sensitive information.

Nice to have

• MBA or equivalent education.
• Three to five years of prior managerial experience.
