Project Manager (Electric Utility)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. Primarily office-based; limited travel may be required based on project needs.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop project plans defining scope, goals, deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors, project sponsors, and external stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, costs, schedules, change control, risks, and project deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
• Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans and resolve project roadblocks.
• Delegate work, set expectations, evaluate performance, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably in electric utilities or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of electric utility systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Experience managing project financials, schedules, change control, sponsors, and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure, meet deadlines, and lead focused cross-functional meetings.

Nice to have

• Experience with both utility and contractor organizations.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
