Project Manager

Location: Hybrid role in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, United States

Salary: $83,200–$114,400 per year, plus a 10% annual bonus for eligible positions

Energy company delivering transmission, substation, distribution, gas, and information technology initiatives across multiple operating areas.

What you will do

• Lead or support transmission, substation, distribution, gas, and information technology projects and programs.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, safety performance, and recovery plans within approved parameters.
• Lead business case development, capital approval, project planning, execution, reporting, and closeout.
• Coordinate requirements engineering, design and engineering activities, procurement, environmental analysis, real estate, and vegetation management reviews.
• Build effective relationships with internal teams, customers, vendors, contractors, governmental agencies, and regulatory officials.
• Prepare structured reports and presentations for management, sponsors, senior stakeholders, and executive audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, with 2–4 years of relevant project management experience.
• For construction project management, an engineering or related degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience is required; a high school diploma may substitute with 3–6 years of experience.
• For non-construction project management, a business, engineering, or related degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience is required; a high school diploma may substitute with 3–6 years of experience.
• Demonstrated project management, leadership, communication, presentation, writing, judgment, time management, and consensus-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead teams while managing conflicting priorities in a multi-task environment.
• Valid driver's license and access to an automobile.

Nice to have

• CAPM or PMP certification.
• Experience in utility design, planning, construction, information technology, or another relevant functional area.
• Experience with job budgeting, costing, performance metrics, and project management tools including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, and Passport.
