Director Project Controls (New Generation)

Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States; on-site work at offices, power plants, nuclear facilities, and construction sites is required. Travel is typically 25% or less, with additional travel possible for specific assignments.

Salary: $160,434.00–$208,565.50 per year.

What you will do

• Lead project controls personnel and provide direction, training, coordination, and performance management.
• Manage project cost and schedule reporting, including forecasts, actual and incurred cost validation, change management, risk management, and performance metrics.
• Lead the development and coordination of project plans, schedules, budgets, tools, and staffing.
• Communicate project status, lead planning meetings, and present complex project information to stakeholders and senior management.
• Oversee project controls systems, data integrity, assessments, audits, and adherence to project management standards.
• Coordinate contractual project controls requirements and contractor kick-off activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, project management, computer science, information technology, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Ten years of qualified experience is required.
• Strategic planning, project risk assessment, mitigation, conflict management, delegation, decision-making, and employee development skills.
• Ability to prepare clear reports and presentations for senior management.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to perform light physical duties, including site walkdowns, ladder climbing, and work around hazardous conditions.
• Ability to work at power plants, including nuclear sites, and construction sites in varying conditions.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related discipline.
• Supervisory experience.
• PMP certification.
