Project Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Mojave, CA or Long Beach, CA; U.S. Person eligibility required

Base salary: $100,000–$150,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop program budgets and schedules for lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft.
• Define end-to-end mission concepts for NASA, government, and commercial customers.
• Create proposal content and external customer presentation materials for mission opportunities and internal development programs.
• Build bottom-up estimates covering bills of materials, cash flow models, labor, resources, risks, and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, partners, customers, vendors, and supply chain organizations to resolve technical and programmatic challenges.
• Manage early technology development projects and architecture studies, including budgets, schedules, deliverables, and customer interfaces.

Requirements

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline, plus 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience; an advanced degree may substitute for equivalent experience.
• Experience in project or program management, project finance, and program planning.
• Experience developing proposal content, external customer presentations, and financial and contractual volumes.
• Strong understanding of launch, space, and lunar environments.
• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR regulations and eligible to obtain required export authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with the full development lifecycle of large, complex aerospace systems.
• Experience with large NASA or other U.S. government proposals and contracts.
• Knowledge of NASA and industry engineering standards.
• Experience working in an agile environment with Confluence and Jira.
• Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
