Program Manager, Commercial (Space): Lead proposal efforts for commercial customers including responding to opportunities, scoping contracts, and collaborating on technical definitions with an accent on customer relationships, program execution, and mission readiness. Focus on developing mission CONOPS, tracking schedules, negotiating requirements, and coordinating cross-company deliverables for spacecraft programs.
Location: Los Angeles, CA (ITAR: U.S. Person required). Ability to travel up to 30%.
Salary: $150,000 - $250,000 + equity

What you will do
- Lead proposals for commercial customers, respond to opportunities, scope contracts, and collaborate with stakeholders on technical definitions.
- Act as primary point of contact for customers to resolve issues, negotiate requirements, and maintain relationships.
- Drive spacecraft vehicle readiness, assess change impacts, develop mission CONOPS, and track schedules to meet contract requirements.
- Communicate program status and mission readiness to internal management, executives, and customers.
- Plan and lead customer reviews and deliverables through cross-company coordination and briefings on technical content, risks, and issues.
- Nurture networks of commercial customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or protected individuals).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or science.
- 5+ years professional experience in space industry.
- 8+ years technical program or project management experience, full project lifecycle preferably with spacecraft.
- Deep understanding of commercial satellite contracting and business development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with negotiation experience.
- Ability to work in fast-paced startup with competing priorities and aggressive schedules.
