Project Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid in Torrance, California, United States. Work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with every other Friday from 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. Travel is 5–10%.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and manage the technical scope, schedule, risk, and performance of military aircraft sustainment programs.
• Lead customer discussions on technical requirements, capabilities, program status, and schedules.
• Develop technical requirements and support onboarding of current and future capabilities.
• Coordinate technical activities across Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Field Service, and Lab or Modernization teams.
• Support troubleshooting, failure analysis, testing, capability integration, spare-parts forecasting, and onsite maintenance planning.
• Provide technical recommendations for program priorities, tradeoffs, governance, metrics, audits, and customer assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of technical project management experience in aerospace, automotive, or test equipment.
• Experience with subcontract management, requirements management, and verification and validation methods.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, and scope for technical projects, with familiarity with EVMS fundamentals.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule at the Torrance, California location.
• This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
