Company

hirify.global develops commercial quantum computing systems, software, and services, including annealing and gate-model quantum computers.

What you will do

  • Contribute to the conceptualization and design of scalable multi-qubit superconducting quantum processors.
  • Develop and run experiments, analysis routines, and quantitative models to characterize fabricated processors.
  • Perform coherence measurements, including T1, T2, Ramsey, echo, and noise spectroscopy, to identify decoherence mechanisms.
  • Develop, calibrate, and validate high-fidelity single-qubit and two-qubit gates, reset, and readout using standard benchmarking protocols.
  • Diagnose scaling limitations in control, calibration, readout, and noise, and develop methods to improve processor performance.
  • Collaborate with circuit designers and multidisciplinary teams while contributing to software infrastructure for modeling, calibrating, and operating qubits and processors.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. in quantum computing or a related experimental field, or equivalent academic or industrial research experience.
  • Experience measuring and controlling qubits using microwave techniques or related quantum-control methods.
  • Strong critical-thinking, technical problem-solving, independent research, and communication skills.
  • Strong software development experience for experimental automation, data acquisition, and data analysis.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team and adapt to shifting priorities.

Nice to have

  • Background in quantum control of superconducting devices, superconducting device fabrication, RF or microwave engineering, or low-noise electronics.
  • Experience calibrating and characterizing superconducting qubits.
  • Familiarity with low-crosstalk superconducting circuit design and scalable two-qubit coupling schemes.
  • Experience with version control and collaborative software development environments.

Culture & Benefits

  • Collaborative, interdisciplinary research and development environment.
  • Culture focused on accountability, open communication, empathy, and continuous learning.
  • Competitive pay, company ownership, equity, bonus, and benefits.
  • Career growth and opportunities to work on commercial quantum computing technology.

Hiring process

  • The recruiter reviews total rewards, including base pay, equity, bonus, perks, benefits, and culture during the interview process.
  • The final offer is determined by the candidate’s proficiencies within the level.
