Intermediate Hydrologist (Environmental)

Location: Remote within Canada; offices are listed in Vancouver, Calgary, Saskatoon, and Whitehorse.

Salary: CAD 95,000–140,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide hydrological expertise across environmental consulting and remediation projects.
• Coordinate hydrological field programs, including scope, methods, quality standards, monitoring, and data collection.
• Support baseline hydrological characterization, analysis, modeling, and project water-balance development.
• Develop stage-discharge rating curves and process, review, and QA/QC automated water-level and discharge data.
• Manage hydrology and meteorology datasets using hydrologic databases and time-series software such as AQUARIUS.
• Prepare technical reports and regulatory submissions, integrate hydrology with broader project teams, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in hydrology, environmental sciences, or natural sciences.
• 7+ years of experience in environmental consulting, A/E/C, or a relevant industry.
• Experience with hydrological analysis, field monitoring, data management, and QA/QC.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business software.
• Strong organizational, time-management, prioritization, independent-working, and teamwork skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with stakeholders at all levels.
