Senior Cost Analyst (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Boulder, Colorado, United States. U.S. citizenship is required due to the site's ITAR qualification status.

Salary: $111,000–$130,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Analyze the Boulder plant's manufacturing costs, inventory, CAPEX, cost of goods sold, and overall financial performance.
• Prepare forecasts, annual budgets, standard cost updates, and monthly variance analysis covering labor, overhead, absorption, material usage, and purchase price variances.
• Lead month-end close activities, including inventory reconciliation, WIP review, production order settlement, and balance sheet account reconciliation.
• Maintain BOMs, routings, cost center rates, standard costs, inventory valuation, and COGS tracking in SAP S/4HANA.
• Coordinate CAPEX requests, capitalization, depreciation tracking, post-implementation reviews, and ROI validation.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance on controls, reporting standardization, ERP initiatives, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or an equivalent field.
• At least five years of manufacturing finance or cost accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, including production orders, internal orders, and cost center accounting.
• Experience with financial forecasting, variance analysis, standard costing, and inventory control.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power BI or similar analytics tools.
• U.S. citizenship required because of the site's ITAR qualification status.

• Experience in discrete manufacturing or the high-tech and optics industry.
