DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Fully remote across the United States

Salary: $210,000–$230,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own the build, test, and deployment pipeline, including progressive rollouts and fast rollbacks.
• Define reproducible infrastructure environments through code and automation.
• Establish uptime targets, monitoring, alerting, SLOs, and incident response processes.
• Mature on-call operations and improve reliability for bank customers that depend on the platform.
• Implement change management, access controls, and audit logging in partnership with security.
• Manage infrastructure costs as the platform and company scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
• Deep production experience with AWS and infrastructure as code.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines used effectively by engineering teams.
• Experience with observability, SLOs, monitoring, alerting, and incident processes.
• Comfort operating in regulated or compliance-heavy environments, including SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
• Strong preference for automation, documentation, and pragmatic infrastructure decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience as an early or solo infrastructure hire.
• Fintech, banking, or other regulated-industry experience.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
• Database operations experience, including backups, migrations, and performance.
• Security-adjacent experience with secrets management, network segmentation, and least-privilege IAM.
