Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud)

Location: Remote; open to current residents of California only. A San Diego office is available for on-premises amenities.

Salary: $174,000–$205,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure, deployments, and reliability practices.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and platform tooling to improve service availability and reduce downtime.
• Develop infrastructure as code and automated deployments for cloud-native SaaS applications.
• Build Azure and AWS cloud tools using Zero-Trust security, container orchestration, and distributed microservice scaling patterns.
• Collaborate with software engineering and product teams to address technical challenges and deliver the company roadmap.
• Research and integrate technologies that improve platform functionality and performance.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software engineering and DevOps experience with substantial hands-on CI/CD expertise.
• Experience managing complex, high-scale cloud infrastructure and using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Istio.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, plus CI/CD and automation tools.
• Experience with Kafka, Event Hubs, RabbitMQ, Node.js, Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability, reliability engineering, incident response, and cloud-native application development.

Nice to have

• Experience with data presentation and analytics.
• Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, and prompt engineering for DevOps automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
