Back Plant Operator

What you will do

• Inspect the back ash area, conveyors, belts, rollers, separators, and related equipment during daily walkdowns.
• Monitor equipment speeds, alignment, ash buildup, cleanliness, and overall operating condition.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with corrective maintenance and scheduled shutdown repairs.
• Operate industrial equipment, including front-end loaders, and support daily facility operations.
• Complete inspection records, activity books, critical-item checklists, and work orders.
• Perform lock-out/tag-out procedures and maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area.

Requirements

• Experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot conveyors, belts, rollers, and related systems.
• Valid driver’s license; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule and participate in daily maintenance kickoff meetings.
• Ability to obtain a Massachusetts 1C/2C Hoisting License quickly.
• Ability to walk, stand, climb, lift or carry up to 50 pounds, work at heights and in confined spaces, wear a full-face respirator, and work in varying weather conditions.
