Plant Maintenance Technician (Recycling Equipment)

Location: New Castle, Delaware, USA; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair recycling equipment, compact heavy equipment, light trucks, and rolling stock.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic systems, industrial electrical systems, 480V balers, conveyors, compactors, forklifts, skid steers, trailers, and front loaders.
• Replace and repair mechanical components including pistons, rods, gears, valves, bearings, conveyor belts, electrical motors, and hydraulic cylinders.
• Read vehicle condition reports and repair orders, clarify issues with supervisors and operators, and recommend preventive techniques.
• Document work orders, parts usage, labor time, fuel, oil, and consumables in maintenance records and the Dossier fleet management system.
• Follow safety procedures and support repairs to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems as needed.

Requirements

• At least one year of related equipment maintenance and repair experience or a trade school certification.
• Practical mechanical and electrical aptitude with PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with conveyors and, preferably, a manufacturing environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work the 2nd shift and follow all safety policies and procedures.
