Machine and Facilities Technician (Electromechanical)

Location: Dorval, Quebec, Canada; onsite production environment

What you will do

• Install, set up, adjust, repair, and troubleshoot production machines and facility equipment.
• Perform scheduled and routine preventive maintenance to improve equipment performance, uptime, reliability, and safety.
• Diagnose mechanical, electronic, electrical, and pneumatic problems using OEM standards and company procedures.
• Support machine operators, production departments, programmers, vendors, contractors, and technicians with equipment setup and processing requirements.
• Use CMMS for work orders and spare parts, monitor inventory, and prepare purchase requisitions when replenishment is required.
• Install electromechanical components, software and hardware upgrades, machine guards, and safety devices in accordance with applicable requirements.

Requirements

• Two to three years of experience as an electromechanical technician.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with experience working on electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical documents.
• General understanding of computers, networks, and operating systems; ability to write detailed reports and communicate effectively.
• Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a valid Canadian work permit is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Electromechanical or mechanical training from a recognized technical institute.
• Degree in electromechanical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience using a coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
