Director of Strategic Finance (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the United States or Canada. Travel for in-person department offsites, team meetings, and customer or industry events is required as needed.

Salary: US-based roles: $184,000–$276,000 USD annual base salary; Canada-based roles: CAD 162,000–243,000 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Own the consolidated P&L, balance sheet, cash flow forecast, long-range plan, monthly outlook, quarterly reforecast, and annual budget cycles.
• Lead finance partnership with the CTO and CISO organizations across engineering, product, design, and product operations.
• Own the R&D plan, including headcount planning, and partner with R&D leaders to improve product roadmap velocity and investment returns.
• Set the company’s spend strategy for cloud hosting and AI, including gross-margin and unit-economics visibility.
• Lead planning-system operations across Anaplan, NetSuite, Salesforce, BI layers, integrations, and forecasting data definitions.
• Build and lead a high-performing team while improving processes, KPIs, reporting discipline, and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

• 8+ years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Corporate FP&A expertise in a high-growth SaaS environment, including three-statement forecasting, unit economics, gross-margin analysis, R&D planning, and cloud-cost structures.
• Experience owning a consolidated forecast and delivering measurable improvements in forecast accuracy, planning-cycle speed, cost, or gross margin.
• Direct IPO or public-company experience, including S-1 support, guidance setting, or quarterly external reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be able to work remotely from the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS or cybersecurity.
• MBA, CPA, or CFA.
