Product Designer, Roundtripping (AI)

Location: London hub or remote within the UK

Figma provides a collaborative design platform for brainstorming, prototyping, translating designs into code, and iterating with AI.

What you will do

• Design and prototype workflows connecting design, production code, design systems, and AI-powered developer tools.
• Shape product strategy and communicate product needs and opportunities through clear storytelling.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, UX writing, data science, and research.
• Create user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity visuals, and product improvements across Figma's core surfaces.
• Participate in design critiques, mentor peers, and share design practices across the organization.

Requirements

• 3+ years of UX and UI design experience for software products of comparable scale and complexity.
• Strong visual craft across composition, typography, layout, interaction design, and prototyping.
• Ability to independently lead end-to-end design from discovery through launch while balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
• Structured decision-making, clear design rationale, and user-centered research skills.
• Experience designing technically complex products, preferably developer tools or extensible platforms, with knowledge of software workflows, APIs, and systems.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating AI-powered or nondeterministic interactions.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Codex, Cursor, or Claude Code.
• Experience with APIs, CLIs, MCP, model evaluations, web technologies, canvas-based interfaces, or design systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Figma features such as Auto Layout, Variables, and Components.
