Sr. Principal R&D Project Manager (Medical Devices)

Base pay: $134,000–$231,150 per year

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional R&D activities across the product development lifecycle.
• Set project strategy and maintain alignment on goals, resources, and execution.
• Manage multiple parallel new product development and on-market projects.
• Oversee development from feasibility through market release in accordance with Design Control requirements.
• Track project progress, risks, resources, and achievements through dashboards and status reports.
• Develop formal communications, present project updates, and mentor other Project Managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business administration, or equivalent education and experience.
• 12+ years of medical device experience, including at least 7 years in project management.
• Experience with Quality System Regulations, 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, MDR, and other applicable regulations.
• Experience implementing process improvement initiatives and project management frameworks.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines, influence stakeholders, and navigate organizational ambiguity.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Project management training or certification.
• Experience with PMO, project reporting, quality control, operational excellence, and performance measurement.
