Instructional Designer II (Healthcare)

Location: On-site at the San Diego headquarters or another company location; remote work is available only with management approval based on business requirements. Requires regular coordination with employees, clients, vendors, and stakeholders. Domestic travel of up to 20% is required.

Salary: $85,356–$145,107 annually, with a midpoint of $115,232.

What you will do

• Analyze learning needs, define instructional objectives, and design, develop, implement, and evaluate training programs.
• Create e-learning courses, instructor-led materials, guides, job aids, presentations, quizzes, videos, simulations, and other interactive learning assets.
• Translate complex technical, operational, Medicare, and Medicaid information into clear materials for non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, program managers, leadership, and corporate customers to develop course content and respond to training needs.
• Deliver new-hire, continuing education, facilitator, and Train-the-Trainer programs while monitoring learner progress and assessments.
• Evaluate training effectiveness, maintain learning content in Confluence, the learning management system, and the intranet, and monitor Medicaid regulatory updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 4 years of subject matter expertise in relevant areas.
• Strong working knowledge of instructional design software and tools, including Adobe Captivate, Articulate Presenter or Storyline, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, video production tools, and Microsoft Office with advanced PowerPoint skills.
• Demonstrated experience applying ADDIE and designing curricula for technical and operational subjects.
• Experience using a learning management system and the ability to learn new software, analyze processes, document work, and make improvement recommendations.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
