Ops Supervisor ES (Hazardous Waste)

Location: Romulus, Michigan, USA; onsite facility operations

What you will do

• Supervise operations personnel and direct activities for a specific work shift.
• Manage the receipt, sampling, analysis, treatment, storage, and disposition of hazardous waste.
• Coordinate with vendors, transporters, treatment facilities, and internal maintenance personnel.
• Ensure safe handling of process chemicals, housekeeping standards, equipment operations, and facility procedures.
• Review and sign RCRA manifests, approve batch clearance, and make decisions based on waste profiles and facility permits.
• Train, evaluate, and support employees while participating in emergency response operations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste management.
• Knowledge of personnel management, operations, equipment, waste processing, and recycling techniques.
• Knowledge of receiving, purchasing, work orders, special licenses, and DOT training.
• Accuracy, thoroughness, attention to detail, prioritization, and ability to manage diverse responsibilities.
