Jr. Structural Designer

Location: Albany, New York, United States; on-site

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year

hirify.global provides multidisciplinary building engineering services, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering, for new construction, renovations, rehabilitation, and design/build projects.

What you will do

• Determine structural loading criteria and perform design calculations.
• Prepare structural specifications, drawings, and reports.
• Conduct field investigations and document findings.
• Produce construction documents using Revit and BIM workflows.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and perform field observations during construction administration.
• Collaborate with structural, architectural, and other engineering disciplines under the supervision of a Senior Structural Engineer.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with structural coursework.
• Engineering in Training Certificate (E.I.T.) required.
• 1–5 years of experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and/or wood design.
• Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and structural engineering design software such as RISA, SAP, and/or TSD.
