Senior Medical Science Liaison (Rheumatology)

Location: Ohio territory, United States; preferred locations are Cleveland or Columbus. The role requires up to 70% travel within the territory and attendance at meetings, congresses, and related events.

Base pay: $137,000–$235,750 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and implement a scientific engagement plan aligned with Medical Affairs strategy and medical objectives.
• Build professional relationships with rheumatology key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, academic institutions, and community practices.
• Conduct balanced, non-promotional scientific exchange and tailor clinical data presentations to stakeholder needs.
• Identify treatment trends, unmet needs, educational gaps, risks, and opportunities across the territory.
• Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies, research inquiries, and internal medical planning.
• Collaborate compliantly with Medical Affairs, R&D, clinical operations, and other cross-functional partners while using AI tools to improve effectiveness.

Requirements

• Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience, such as PharmD, PhD, MD, or an advanced practice provider qualification.
• Postgraduate experience for doctoral-level candidates and at least 2 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated success as an MSL.
• Strong scientific and therapeutic expertise in research, data analysis, clinical practice, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and collaboration.
• Ability to support the Ohio territory with up to 70% travel.
• Valid United States driver’s license required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot, computers, and remote technologies.
