Senior Medical Science Liaison (Obesity)

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States; field-based territory covering Pennsylvania

Salary: $172,344.30–$233,171.70 annual base salary

What you will do

• Serve as a primary scientific and clinical resource for obesity opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, population health decision makers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchanges and communicate balanced clinical, outcomes, and economic data.
• Engage clinical investigators and research sites in support of the obesity pipeline, sponsored research, and non-sponsored clinical research.
• Provide field insights to internal stakeholders and support medical strategy, congress activities, speaker training, and cross-functional projects.
• Build relationships with external stakeholders, coordinate with other field roles, and support improved patient outcomes.
• Mentor other MSLs and complete required administrative, CRM, compliance, and training activities.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, or master's degree and 6 years of Medical Affairs experience, or bachelor's degree and 8 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Experience in a medically related field, including clinical practice, clinical research, medical research, post-doctoral training, residency, or fellowship experience.
• Experience in a medical science liaison role and current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Knowledge of cardiometabolic medicine and/or obesity is preferred.
• Ability to work with the designated Pennsylvania territory and communicate scientific data effectively.

Nice to have

• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another doctoral degree.
• Seven or more years in a medically related field, including at least one year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Two or more years of experience as an MSL in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
