Production Operator II (Industrial Gas Filling)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite plant work. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

Hourly base pay: $24.00–$24.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Safely fill industrial, medical, cryogenic, liquid, and high-pressure gas cylinders according to operating procedures and regulations.
• Inspect cylinders, valves, caps, labels, and color coding before filling, and perform required safety checks.
• Prepare cylinders and cryogenic vessels, connect them to manifolds, evacuate contaminants, and fill by pressure and weight.
• Analyze gas products for purity and correct mixtures.
• Load and unload cylinders and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Complete DOT, FDA, OSHA, quality-control, and other required documentation while maintaining a clean plant.

Requirements

• Ability to complete required training and certifications for cryogenic liquids, pure industrial gases, FDA, Food Grade, and CGMP operations.
• Ability to operate a forklift and maintain the required certification.
• Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, customer service, and ability to work independently under deadline pressure.
• Must have valid employment authorization in the United States and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related manufacturing, filling, or loading experience.
• Experience in the gas, welding, safety supply, or chemical industry.
• Prior forklift experience.
