Production Operator (Energetic Materials)

Location: Onsite in Minden, Louisiana, United States. The role requires work in an industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment with outdoor exposure, varying temperatures, and extended periods of standing and walking. Candidates must meet federal and state explosives licensing requirements and satisfy applicable U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Base pay: $21.66 per hour. The rate reflects base salary only and excludes benefits and bonuses.

What you will do

• Execute manual production activities, operate equipment, stage and weigh materials, and package finished products.
• Follow PPE requirements, explosive-handling protocols, safety procedures, and site-specific regulations.
• Record and communicate production data, batch information, and material usage for traceability and compliance.
• Transport materials and finished goods using forklifts and other approved material-handling equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping, inspect work areas and equipment, and report operational or safety issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with the ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required federal and state explosives licenses, including background checks and drug screening.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work safely in a regulated, high-hazard environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform standing, walking, bending, and manual-handling tasks.
• Must satisfy U.S. Government ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.
• Must meet applicable minimum-age, drug-free workplace, background-investigation, and explosives-license requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or powder-handling environments.
• Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment.
