Analytics Consultant

Location: Houston, Texas, United States

Base pay: $61,500–$136,100 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Construct forecasts, recommendations, and strategic or tactical plans from business data and market knowledge.
• Query internal and external data sources and produce datasets and reports for analysis.
• Develop dynamic dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI.
• Analyze healthcare, financial, medical, and economic data to evaluate expenditures, outcomes, and cost-containment strategies.
• Identify trends and patterns, provide insights to decision-makers, and advise commercial clients and senior stakeholders.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives and translate business cases into customer or partner execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in healthcare services, statistical analysis, insurance economics, or a related field; alternatively, a related master’s degree or 6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in querying diverse internal and external data sources.
• Advanced experience with SQL, R, and Python.
• Ability to create dynamic, visually engaging dashboards with Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong business intelligence, communication, presentation, independent-working, and collaboration skills.
• Experience supporting healthcare, insurance, or population-health stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with project management methodologies.
• Healthcare industry experience across payor, provider, pharmacy, public health, or epidemiology.
• Experience with GitHub or other version-control and collaboration tools.
• Experience with automation tools such as Alteryx.
