Maintenance Technician (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: Painesville, Ohio, USA; onsite at 250 Chester St. Initial training is conducted on an 8-hour weekday schedule, followed by a 12-hour rotating schedule, typically from 6 PM to 6 AM on a 1-3-3 rotation.

Salary: $26.95–$35.46 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential.

What you will do

• Diagnose equipment failures and replace defective mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control components.
• Repair and maintain motors, conveyors, pneumatic tools, production machinery, automated equipment, electrical panels, relays, circuit breakers, and control systems.
• Use schematics, diagrams, manuals, testing instruments, hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring instruments to complete repairs.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, inspect completed repairs, lubricate equipment, and maintain repair and maintenance logs.
• Support engineers and production teams with troubleshooting, corrective actions, equipment preparation, and process improvements.
• Maintain facility systems and shop areas, including HVAC, plumbing fixtures, structures, grounds, housekeeping, and waste removal.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 12 months of employment with hirify.global; equipment or process troubleshooting experience is advantageous.
• Effective written and verbal communication, computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in industrial mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, HMI, and control-system maintenance.
• Willingness to work overtime, including short-notice requests, and to work rotating 12-hour shifts after training.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and consistently follow safety procedures.

Nice to have

• Trade school certification or an associate degree in industrial maintenance.
• Journeyman-level industrial maintenance training or experience.
