Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician

Location: Cudahy, Wisconsin, USA; onsite, 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Salary: $26–$41 per hour; the stated location pay range is $26–$32 per hour, with the actual rate varying by education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location.

What you will do

• Install, modify, repair, test, and maintain electrical lines, circuits, controls, fixtures, and equipment.
• Install and repair electrical and electronic components in production machinery, conveyors, programmable controllers, and bindery equipment.
• Connect power supply wiring and cables between machines while following electrical codes, schematics, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose malfunctioning transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, and machine components, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Replace AC/DC motors and damaged wires or cables; fabricate or repair parts using welders and machine tools when needed.
• Perform electrical maintenance safely in accordance with OSHA and lockout/tagout standards.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of construction, installation, operation, and troubleshooting of complex circuitry, controls, and safety interlock systems.
• Ability to formulate electrical circuit layouts, wire test setups, install strain-gauge circuits and recording instruments, and verify electrical test conditions.
• Ability to quickly identify warning signals and respond to potential equipment or safety issues.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, electrical and electronic test equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and transistors.
• Applicable licenses or certifications required to perform the work.
