Field Service Engineer (IVD)

Location: Brazil; São Paulo or Porto Alegre. The role requires 90–100% travel, with 4–5 days per week visiting customers and 2–3 overnight stays per week. Remote work is available as an option.

What you will do

• Repair, install, upgrade, and perform preventive maintenance on tissue diagnostic IVD devices.
• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical, pneumatic, computer hardware, software, and systems issues.
• Schedule service efficiently and respond proactively to internal and external customer requests.
• Coordinate with managers, sales teams, Product Specialists, manufacturing, and OEM vendors.
• Document service time, expenses, complaints, customer feedback, and technical findings in SAP and other systems.
• Complete administrative reports accurately and follow corporate policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or university degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, training, and education.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience as a biomedical technician or in electro-mechanical, IVD instrumentation, or similar work.
• Experience operating, maintaining, and repairing medical devices.
• Knowledge of electronics, fluidics, pneumatics, electromechanical devices, troubleshooting, and diagnostic techniques.
• Proficiency with IP addresses, Windows Server environments, firewalls, and connecting IT equipment to networks.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.

Nice to have

• IT courses or an A+ certification.
