Field Service Engineer (Diagnostics)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia. The role is fully remote from a home office but includes field-based customer support and up to 95% travel within the assigned territory.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and support diagnostic products and related hardware, software, and connectivity solutions.
• Provide technical assistance to customers onsite, by phone, email, and remotely.
• Deliver technical training and explain complex failures and resolutions to customers.
• Build customer relationships, resolve issues, provide timely updates, and identify potential service opportunities.
• Achieve service KPIs by improving system performance, reducing downtime, maintaining accurate issue records, and following quality management requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in medical devices or diagnostics.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, connectivity, IT concepts, and service management systems such as SFDC, SAP, or Dynamics 365.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver's license and ability to handle, lift, and move service equipment safely.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 95%, including overnight travel, and work evenings, weekends, or holidays when required. Ability to lift 45 lbs (20 kg) and place equipment into a unit approximately 3 feet (1.5 m) high.
