Field Service Engineer (Food Sorting Systems)

Location: Home-based hybrid contract for candidates based in or around Sevilla or Valencia, Spain, with field service primarily across Spain and Portugal and travel up to 80% of the time.

What you will do

• Install, commission, operate, test, optimize, maintain, and repair food sorting equipment.
• Diagnose technical issues and perform mechanical, electrical, electronic, and optical adjustments.
• Provide customer training and technical advice to improve equipment performance and reduce food waste.
• Prepare service reports and collaborate with internal teams to deliver customer support.
• Travel primarily within Spain, with occasional international travel as required.

Requirements

• Technical education in electronics, electrical engineering, automation, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in field service, industrial maintenance, or technical customer support.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power supplies, PLCs, IT, networking, and PC configuration.
• Fluent Spanish and English at minimum B2 level.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, troubleshoot effectively, travel up to 80%, and hold a valid driver's license.
