Commissioning Assistant (AI Data Centers)

Location: On-site, with long-term travel and/or short-term relocation; 3–6 month assignments at each location

What you will do

• Support Commissioning Managers and Site Leads with daily commissioning administration across MEP, electrical, and controls systems.
• Maintain commissioning records, including test results, deficiency logs, submittals, and as-built documentation.
• Track deficiencies through closure and follow up with vendors and trades.
• Assist with commissioning plans, FPT scripts, IST procedures, RFIs, and submittal tracking.
• Coordinate subcontractor and vendor schedules for system startup and functional testing.
• Attend inspections and integrated systems tests, record observations, and support punch lists, owner turnover, and final acceptance documentation.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in commissioning, construction, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with MEP and electrical systems, including generators, UPS, switchgear, cooling infrastructure, and BMS/controls.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage detailed documentation across multiple workstreams.
• Ability to read basic construction drawings and specifications and willingness to develop deeper technical knowledge.
• Comfort working in an active construction environment with multiple trades and vendors.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel or relocate for 3–6 month periods.

Nice to have

• Coursework or certification in mechanical, electrical, or construction management.
• Exposure to hyperscale or colocation data center projects.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Cx Alloy, or FACTSuite.
• Experience in startup, high-growth, or accelerated-schedule environments.
