Engineering Staff I (Civil/Environmental Engineering)

What you will do

• Prepare and implement health and safety plans, client-specific requirements, forms, and job safety analyses.
• Collect and help interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations, measurements, and testing.
• Assist with detailed engineering plans, technical specifications, and design implementation cost estimates.
• Perform engineering computations and process project data using software and established methods.
• Support designs, drawings, site inspections, and other project tasks under the supervision of senior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Civil or Environmental Engineering, preferably with a water and wastewater emphasis.
• 0–2 years of civil engineering experience, particularly in water and wastewater services.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and computer models for hydraulic system analysis.
• Work is based in Dover, Delaware, United States.

Nice to have

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS software.
