Dispatch Supervisor (Transportation)

Location: Edison, New Jersey, United States; onsite

Salary: $46,000–$55,000 annual, plus bonus eligibility based on individual and company performance.

Provides transportation coordination and client support services through subcontracted transportation providers.

What you will do

• Enforce contract regulations and oversee the trip assignment process.
• Manage relationships with transportation providers and resolve transportation-related issues.
• Implement alternative transportation options, including public transit, recipient reimbursement, and volunteer or independent driver programs.
• Collaborate with internal departments, company representatives, facilities, providers, and local and state authorities.
• Guide advocates through difficult or escalated trip assignments and recommend operational improvements.
• Determine staffing and resource needs, manage assigned budgets, analyze variances, and lead projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four or more years of relevant experience and up to one year of leadership responsibility.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, customer service, interpersonal, management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to identify solutions, complete assignments on time, build effective relationships, and perform in stressful situations.
• Knowledge of quality improvement tools and processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with demand-response transportation management.
• Experience in a call center environment.
