Sr. Cloud Engineer (Cloud)

Location: 100% remote from anywhere within the United States; company location in Reston, Virginia.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and support scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Build repeatable infrastructure deployments with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to design and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or ELK.
• Support cloud-native SaaS and hybrid environments involving Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, ADFS, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
• Diagnose complex incidents, optimize performance and cost, document systems, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 36 months of experience in infrastructure or DevOps engineering.
• Three years of experience managing production environments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Three years of experience with infrastructure as code, scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Three years of experience with cloud networking, load balancers, VPCs, storage, compute, managed services, monitoring, logging, IAM, encryption, secure networking, and compliance frameworks.
• Must be able to work remotely from within the United States.
