Cloud Engineer II (AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Broomfield, Colorado, United States

Annual salary: $91,700–$130,000, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Manage and orchestrate SaaS platforms and technical solutions across the R&D organization.
• Develop, maintain, automate, and orchestrate AWS application, data, networking, security, monitoring, and service-discovery platforms.
• Define and enforce source-control, branching, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration-management best practices.
• Enhance platform services using Terraform, Ansible, Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Packer.
• Build and maintain observability patterns and platforms using OpenTelemetry and related tooling.
• Participate in Agile delivery, critical-incident management, root-cause analysis, and an after-hours tier-4 production-support rotation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with public-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, server administration, scripting or development, and configuration-management tools.
• Production experience with infrastructure as code and automated deployment pipelines.
• Expert-level experience with logging and observability solutions such as Splunk, Coralogix, OpenTelemetry, Graylog, ELK Stack, or CloudWatch.
• 3+ years of experience with containerization.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience; immigration sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile methodology and SRE practices.
• AWS Solutions Architect, Developer, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps certification.
• A four-year technical degree or military experience as a technologist.
