TL;DR
Project Engineer HVAC & Black Utilities (Pharma): Defining and delivering HVAC and black utilities solutions for pharmaceutical infrastructure projects in Brussels with an accent on design validation, technical documentation, construction monitoring, and site compliance. Focus on challenging engineering deliverables, coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders, and managing quality, cost, schedule, HSE, and sustainability requirements across project phases.
Location: Brussels, Belgium, with on-site presence across Braine-l’Alleud and Anderlecht. Hybrid work is approximately 20%, with regular on-site attendance required for technical and construction activities.

is supporting multiple infrastructure projects for a pharmaceutical-sector client in the Brussels region.
What you will do
- Define and validate HVAC and black utilities solutions during design phases.
- Review and approve engineering contractor deliverables, technical specifications, tenders, and supplier selections.
- Coordinate Project Leads, subject-matter experts, site teams, contractors, and engineering partners across project interfaces.
- Monitor HVAC and piping construction and commissioning activities.
- Identify quality, cost, schedule, and HSE risks and implement corrective actions.
- Support budget, planning, progress tracking, site integration, sustainability objectives, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least approximately 10 years of relevant experience in HVAC and engineering projects.
- Mandatory experience in pharmaceutical environments; biotech experience is also relevant.
- Strong HVAC expertise with a good understanding of black utilities and piping.
- Experience managing both design and execution phases, including tendering, technical specifications, and supplier management.
- Strong knowledge of HSE and site compliance requirements, with the ability to challenge technical solutions and stakeholders.
- Fluency in French and professional or technical English required.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems.
- Experience in multi-site or complex infrastructure environments.
- Exposure to large-scale or multidisciplinary projects.
