Full Stack Software Engineer (Energy)

Location: Remote within the United States

Base salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year, plus a target annual bonus of 10% of base salary and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Design and build frontend and backend features for consumer-facing energy-saving experiences.
• Serve as the technical owner of critical product experience flows.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product management.
• Work across TypeScript, React, Python, Nx, PostgreSQL, Celery, AWS or GCP, Ubuntu, Apache, Redis, Git, and Jira.
• Implement UI and API monitoring and proactively improve performance and stability.
• Participate in standups, team updates, one-on-ones, and peer code reviews.

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience building full-stack software services.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, or demonstrated software industry experience.
• Experience building scalable, high-performance features and REST APIs.
• Strong UI development skills with React or another modern UI framework.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Redshift, or MongoDB.
• Proficiency in one or more of TypeScript, Python, Java, PHP, or Ruby; must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Remix or React Router.
• Experience with scalable distributed data processing, cloud functions, pub/sub, or Prefect.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, including Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Experience in the electric power industry or working with external partners.
