Sr. Manufacturing & Production Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Plan, organize, and control production, warehouse, repack, bulk handling, laboratory, and shipping/receiving operations.
• Ensure safe, legal, efficient, and economical facility operations in line with health, safety, environmental, security, and quality standards.
• Establish operating plans, production schedules, process metrics, standard operating procedures, and quality-control programs.
• Analyze production and quality data, identify problems, and drive continuous improvement and customer-focused performance.
• Manage staffing, coaching, personnel development, hiring, promotion, termination, and salary planning.
• Oversee facility, building, equipment, maintenance, housekeeping, capital budgets, permits, training, and operational records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching, team-building, decision-making, organization, communication, and computer skills.
• In-depth knowledge of chemical handling and blending.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting manufacturing facilities and the chemical industry.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, and related governmental requirements, or the ability to acquire this knowledge.
